Lined Paper Tee at Ucreate!

Please join me in momentarily geeking out that I'm sharing a project today at Ucreate! Eeeee!

You ought to jump over there if you want to find out how to make this cute top:

My sister and I just made another of these yesterday (she saw me wearing mine so we did the only logical thing: made an emergency craft store run for supplies so she could have one, too. We matched as kids all the time . . . is it still cute when we're both 20+?), and I can't get over how adorable and easy this top is. Definitely my new favorite!

And you can make one for the squirt, too:
The English major in me is simply delighted at having him look like such a sweet little dork.

So if you're visiting from Ucreate, hi! I'm glad you're here! And if you're not, hop on over there to see how you can make a lined paper tee for yourself.

  3. Dude! I love this idea! Honestly, I'll probably make one for myself...but after the baby or else the lined paper effect would look water damaged with a big old bubble in the middle.

  17. I'm so glad you posted this!! It was such an inspiration. Not only did I make one right away, I jumped on the whole theme and I turned my 2 month old into a No. 2 Pencil (using the same kind of technique and some felt for the eraser hat! ADORABLE) and a crazy scissor get up for my husband. We're going as my desk for halloween. Thanks again!

  19. You always have beautiful ideas! Love this and I just made one for my daughter: http://ofpinksandfairytales.blogspot.com/2011/08/lined-paper-tee-from-maybe-matilda.html

I used fabric pastels though, since I have yet to try fabric paint (never tried it yet, ever... sad I know).

  22. Rachel, these are amazing our PTA is making them at teacher appreciation day (instead of a week a year our school does something small every month). Little bit of help though, I went trough the comments and could not find an answer fir this, do you know which color paints you used? We are having a hard time finding them And we'll have to order online so brand and color would be appreciated also what thickness of masking tape was used?
    Thank you

  23. Hi there, winky face! I'm happy to help--I just went and got my paints out, and I used Folk Art acrylic paints for both colors--the blue is #713, Coastal Blue, and the red is also Folk Art brand but it says Shiny on it, too, and it is #2702 Engine Red. The masking tape is 3/4". Hope that helps! Have fun making them for teacher appreciation day--that sounds so fun!
