Spring Wishlist

This post brought to you by Spiegel.com. Opinions are mine.

I’m sorry to be a downer (sort of sorry) (not that sorry), but we have hit the point in winter where things are looking bleak. As I’m typing this, it’s dark and overcast with some type of slushy nonsense falling, and the memories of lovely weather and warm sunny days are dim and hazy. Much like the actual weather outside. (It really must be bad if I’m actually blogging about the weather—it’s come to this.)

I definitely need some bright cheeriness in my life, and I’m definitely getting excited for spring to arrive. This weird phenomenon happens every year in my closet where last year’s seasonal clothes mysteriously disappear and I realize I don’t have anything to wear. Weird, right? Jeff doesn’t believe me, but I think there’s some sort of clothing manufacturer conspiracy going on. Anyway, I’m eyeing some things I’d love to wear when (if) spring arrives and things warm up a tad. Although I’m really having a difficult time imagining that ever happening at this point.

Cute spring clothing wishlist

Clockwise from top left: Isabella Dress ($24) // Peplum Hannah Top ($19) //  Camille Skirt ($24) // Pamella Dress ($24) // Jenna Cardigan ($19) // Heather Skirt ($44)

I’d love to get some brighter items in my closet, and the red-orangey colors on that bottom left skirt are gorgeous. Every spring and summer, without fail, I decide I ought to wear skirts and dresses more often. They’re not something I wear much, other than to church on Sunday, but they’re so light and breezy, it seems almost silly not to wear them regularly. I so want to get a white summer dress, and I love this one on the top left. And we all know how frugal I am, so $24 sounds like an awesome price to me. I seriously have opened a tab with that dress no less than 5 times in the last few days and had a heated inner debate about buying it. It’s so affordable . . . but I have messy children, it will only stay white for about 10 minutes . . . but it’s so lacy and bright and pretty . . . we’ll see who wins. I’m really tempted.

What do you have your eye on for spring?

    1. Isn't that dress so pretty? I love it. And we finally had our first day of nice weather here . . . I really hope it sticks.
